Boy, Sista! Talk about a couple of months late and a dollar(s) short! I was supposed to post this on Valentines Day but I got very, very distracted.
About 30 years ago I would have been devastated by the mere words "Valentine's Day". Why? Because I had none. Nor did I have anyone beating down the door, or burning a path to get to me. The cupboard was bare so to speak.
But, since then I've accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Savior and I've been walking Him for 40 years. Even though I'm STILL not married, I have been. I've been married to Jesus! And like His word says: I will never leave you or forsake you, nor leave you alone, even unto the end of the Earth." And, that has been a personal reality to me!
That means ANYTIME of the day or night, I can talk to Him! I don't have to wait for an appointment, or play phone mail tag. Text and hope I get a return text, email and hope and pray I get a return email.
All I have to do is call on Him, and He is there! In the darkest hours of my days and nights, He is right there. What better companion could I want? I'm happy with my Jesus, thank you. . . . .
Of course, YOU TOO can have this same relationship. John 3:16. Read it, Believe it, Receive it! It will DO YOU GOOD!
