Man Undercover

I've noticed an ever encroaching trend lately.  Many men no longer look like men, and no longer act like men.  I'm not talking about small statured men.   I'm talking about men who work out, have six pack abs and are supposed to be societies "he men".  


Now, I'm not going to go into what the Bible says about homosexuality, because God has officially (whether the Gay community believes it or not) cursed this behavior and called it an "abomination".   God has spoken, I agree, and that's enough for me.  


But, as I look around it seems that more and more men are gay!  Why is this?  Is it the sign of the times?  Yes, definitely. Please read the following selection from Romans 1:18-32. Pay special attention to verse 27. . .

However, I have uncovered another story behind why men are gay.  A friend recently told he that he is gay because he is "afraid of women".  Afraid of women?  What one earth did he mean by that?  Simple, he is afraid of the responsibility of hooking up with a woman.  Women are too needy.  . . . . . But wait a minute, God designed her that way. The Bible says she is the weaker vessel and her desires would be towards her husband. 


God also designed that a man takes on the responsibility of courting, marrying, and raising up a family which would glorify His kingdom.  He is her lover, protector and provider. Am I wrong on this?  Someone please help me out with this if I am.  . . . . . 


So the bottom line is my friend is afraid to step up to the plate and BE A MAN.  It's sad, there are just too many of them out there today that are hiding like little boys. . . . .


Another trend I've discovered is mentioned in the title of this post.  What does "Man Undercover" mean?  


It is a gay man who marries and pretends to be straight.   In the beginning the guy makes a deal with the woman and tells her "Look I'm gay, but I work in a certain field, or I run in certain political circles where being gay is not accepted, so I need a cover".  He will then promise to take care of her and any kids they produce from the union, as long as she keeps mum about his real lifestyle.  


What a lifestyle to live!  In my scathing opinion a woman has got to be nuts to agree to something like that! Woe betide those poor women who don't know their husband is gay. . . .


Yet, due to sheer the "desperation" that some women are compelled to  feel, they'd rather have half a loaf then none at all. My question is, "And what of the children."  


Another friend recently discovered this in a fan club she was a member of.  The star in question was a he-man, and always played he-man characters in his productions.  But, he turned out to be gay, which shocked a lot of members to the core, and many quit the affiliation.  


So, to combat the so-called rumors he had a "kept woman" on the side.  He always made sure she was at his side during his public events, just  to make it look like he was happily "hooked up" with a female.  But, those who were close to the fire, knew better.  Supposedly they may have even had kids.  So, again I ask, "What of the children?"


They are going to be the ultimate losers.  After all, the man is all about his gayness, and the woman is all about pretending she has a spouse.  In reality the man she's married has no more interest in her than an empty shoe box. The poor children suffer because they have no one to love them. . . .


No wonder God cursed homosexuality. . . . . . . . 


What do I suggest?  Men need to come to Christ and allow the Word Of God to teach them what a man is.  Only then they will truly be satisfied with who they are and not try to be what they are not.

The Free Store

I have a friend who's favorite saying which is:  "If it's free, it's for me."   Of course, you know I have a BIG problem with that.  


1.     This statement reveals the depths of one's lack of responsibility.  It means you spend your life always on the hunt for and taking advantage of free stuff.  Government programs included.


2.     Just because it is free doesn't mean it's good. Sometimes things are given away because the are of substandard quality.  In other words, companies have JUNK to give away and they give it to first come, first serve.  Now you're stuck with the darned thing(s). . . . .


3.     Things are free because someone has already paid for it.  The free samples stores give away have already been paid for by the customers.  Believe it or not stores and companies must BUY those samples FIRST before giving them away.  Guess what, they use YOUR money to buy them with. . . . . .   DUH!


4.     Most times, free stuff comes with strings attached.  I used to do online surveys, and in EVERY instance when something was offered for free (ex: Free I-pod) I was required  to sign up for magazine subscriptions, or some such other crap.  If I didn't, I wouldn't get the free item. Conclusion?  The offer of the free I-pod was merely the "carrot" to draw you in to buy (what was in my opinion) junk.  So in essence, it really wasn't free. . . . . .


Where are you going with this, Sista?


Public schools are free.  Unlike private and parochial schools you don't have to pay a cent to enroll you child/children in them, don't have to pay tuition, for books, etc.  They are convenient for cash strapped families who are on a budget and can't afford the above mentioned alternative.  


However, the trend in public school has changed because some parents have become lazy and have allowed the schools to have more control of their children.


When I went to public school, they only provided school lunch. My mom was old school and believed in feeding her daughter a proper lunch.  Since my school was two blocks away, I went home for lunch.  As I got older I elected to stay and have lunch at school.  The food wasn't bad, not Mom's home cooking, but not bad.


Now public schools are not only giving the kids free lunch, they are feeding them free breakfast.  Reason?  Parents were/are too busy to prepare a hot and nourishing breakfast for their children (because they work) so here comes the public school to the rescue.  The schools do this because the wee ones can't learn if their tummies are empty.


Recently, a new program has started to feed children dinner. Dinner?  Yes, dinner!  Why?  Because working parents come home too tired from work to slave at the stove and prepare dinner.  So, supposedly children would either grab a pizza, or a peanut butter sandwich, or just go to bed hungry.  


Clueless parents may take advantage of these programs because they are free, but wait a minute, they are not! Remember what I said earlier in point #3?  Things are only free because someone else has already paid for them!  Hard earned taxpayer money goes to pay for this!  


Free is not necessarily good.  I wonder if parents have even bothered to visit the schools to see WHAT their children are being fed?  I say this in light of the following article:

Food Police Confiscate 4 Year Old's Lunch


Suppose your child is allergic to certain foods?  Suppose you child is a picky eater and doesn't want the trash the school is feeding them that day?  


Remember #4?  Free things always come with strings attached.  So you send your child to a FREE public school where they are fed three FREE meals as well as being educated for FREE.  


However, they are being taught anything but reading, writing and arithmetic.  Recently a New York City school received a donation (from dubious sources . . . . eh-hem. . . . The Muslim Brotherhood) to teach mandatory ARABIC classes!  This is in addition to the Sex Education classes will start as of this Fall (2012).  


As far as the public schools (the educational system, unions and the government) are concerned, if your not responsible enough to feed and educate your own children, they will take over and feed and teach your kids whatever.


Unfortunately this may also mean teaching them how to say "Alu Akbar!" . How do they get away with this?  LACK OF PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT!  It's your right as a parent to be vigilant and let your school know you do not approve of such "dubious programs".  Yes, that also means joining with like minded parents who also believe the same and are proactive.


A little history:


Back in Nazi Germany, Hitler had a program where he took all of the young children away from the parents and put them into "training camps".  There they were taught that HITLER was The Fuhrer" (their father), and to serve only HIM. Parents were only allowed to visit their children for short periods if at all.  When the tykes came home they  had been brainwashed to spy on, and snitch on their parents if they did not toe the Nazi line.


Call me paranoid if you wish, but I see this same trend developing today.  All because, people want things for free and don't see the dangerous strings attached.  

Political Prostitution

My, my!  Them be some strong words!  In view of the subject matter, I have nothing BUT strong words for it!  I especially direct it towards America's so-called Labor Unions.  


In my field of employment, I've been a member of a very large union (ASFME) and a certain District Council for neigh 30 years.  I did not ask to join, nor did they ask if they could take a bite (dues) out of my paycheck.  Dues were compulsory and automatically deducted from my check just like income taxes, and similarly I had no say so in the matter.  


Why was my Union confiscating my money?  Back then the lie was "dues were being used to pay for member services".  Meaning, medical care, eye care, dental, prescriptions, and most importantly, representation if you got into hot water in the workplace.  


Over the years, I've watched my union go from good, to bad, to worse, to non-existent or helpful to their members, to just plain brain washing and fleecing it's members.  


Back when unions were first started back in the 1820's there was a great need for them.  Historically Labor Unions were established to rally for safe working conditions, humane  hours, and decent pay and benefits.  Now all labor unions rally for is the right to get into bed with the politicians for as many perks as possible.  


This condition has intensified with the current political administration to the Nth degree.  In times past, the unions used to hide their pandering under the table.  But since Obama was elected (with union backing), the unions have been rushing en mass to fall on the sword again for the sake of him being re-elected.


The Unions have willingly forked over millions of member hard earned money to the Obama champagne.  This is heedless of the fact that many union members no longer wish to support Obama, and even more may have never supported the man, me included.  


In short, The Labor Unions have become like the mafia. They decide what's best for the members, not the other way around, as they would have the members  think. Yeah, those so-called ballots you may cast, if you don't vote a certain way (favoring the union way) your ballot(s) gets tossed. . . . . . . .


The real reason the Labor Unions have gone whole hog for BamBam (my personal nick name for POTUS)?  He is The Great Black Hope and made many promises to us as Black People if we support him.  So naturally, the Labor Unions which are 90% black and minorities willingly got into bed with this administration.  That's why I call it Political Prostitution.  


After all, a prostitute only does what she does for a profit....

Arabic Being Taught Where?

US Public Schools Infiltrated By Muslim Brotherhood Sponsored Arabic Language Classes!


I was completely floored by the news last week that a New York City Public School will start teaching Arabic.  These classes will be MANDATORY not elective!  Now, wait one minute!  The kids these days can barely speak, read and write ENGLISH and you're gonna teach em what?


Why is this being done?  The spirit of multiculturalizam?  I think not!  This will be a means of brain washing our young children and preparing them for the future Jihad!  


It's amazing that some people think that it's nice that the kids will be learning Arabic.  To them, it's on the same level as "It's nice the kids will learn how to bake cookies or learn to knit."  Oh really, what use would it be for my child to learn the language of America's enemies (unless one is going to be a deep cover spy)?  


These are the very public schools where prayer, religious instruction, and the bible were removed due to "Separation of Church and State".  This was approximately fifty years ago and since then the void has been filled with sex education and now Arabic.  


What I don't understand is, wasn't there any kind of objection from the parents?  After all these are their children!  I recall a hue and cry against the new Sex Education program that will also start this September (2012), but there was nary a peep about it.


In fact, no one really knows where the money is coming from to fund the project.  That was until Arron Klein blew the lid off it.  The Muslim Brotherhood is behind and supporting this project financially.  And if they are doing this, it cannot be good for American Public School children.  


Parents, we need to wake up!  Something like this should've never gotten in under the radar!  I know you are busy, and some of you probably could'nt care less.  But God gave you those children to take of them and protect them.  Why?  Because they are too young to protect themselves!  It's up to you to let your school officials that you don't want Arabic taught in your child's school.  If they don't listen, kick it up higher and go to you assembly person  or congressman and woman if this doesn't work.


But, we cannot continue to allow these things happen to our future generation.  Our enemy knows, they can't convert us because we are too far gone, but children with their young and impressionable minds?  


If I had children, I WOULD NOT send them to public school.  It would be private or homeschooling for them.  If you care about your children, parents you must make a stand.  


    

The Nanny State!

First it was smoking.


New York City's Mayor Bloomberg want on a personal quest against smoking.  Needless to say, you can no longer smoke in bars, restaurants and other public places (public buildings like city agencies).  So in the Winter, you see hoards of people standing on the streets in the cold in order to grab a few puffs.  Well, not so much now because the price of cigarettes have gone up to nearly fifteen bucks a pack.


Then it was salt.


New York City's Mayor Bloomberg went on another personal quest to slay the salt dragon. He admonished residents to cut down on their salt intake. He took it a step further by putting restrictions on restaurants to cook with less salt and not to offer it to customers.  The same went for trans fatty acids.


Then it was the Bike Lanes and Pedestrian Walkways.


Mayor Bloomberg decided to redesign our fair city, narrowing our already narrow traffic clogged streets, by adding bike lanes.  He encouraged people to use them, after all, bikes are better for the environment, and healthier for you too.  


Mind you, all of this headless of the fact that 90% of New York City bike riders not only don't know how to ride, they don't know the rules of the road.  


Yes, the rules of the road also apply to bike riders.  They are supposed to stop when traffic stops, and they are to bike WITH the flow of traffic not AGAINST it.  Is it any wonder there's an upswing of pedestrians being killed or seriously injured by bikes slamming into them or drivers who (I believe) intentionally run them over.  New York City is not exactly a bike friendly town, especially with bikes and yellow taxis competing for the same space on the streets..........


Fortunately or unfortunately this program is mostly active in Manhattan.  There are bike lanes in Brooklyn, but I don't see them used as often.  There was a referendum to construct some in Queens and the residents came to the meeting with pitchforks and torches (figuratively speaking) and voted it down.  Hooah!  


Now this latest thing about soda and sugary drinks.  Our dear Nanny Mayor Bloomberg has decided that he his not going to his chillen to sully their lips and bodies with sugar laced swill.  Anything above 16 ounces will no longer be sold in restaurants, bars, sporting events, etc.  What does that mean for us?  No more Big Gulp, unless it's water.....


What an incredible intrusion on our personal privacy!  Perhaps it's me but since when being the Mayor of New York City included being my Mommy?  I understand our city has a fiscal crisis and Mayor Bloomberg is trying to cut costs and corners.  But this has gone beyond the pale.


I understand that obesity has reached an almost epidemic proportions.  Everywhere you look you see "weight challenged" people (you can't say fat anymore - too politically incorrect).  But, it is their decision to be that way.  Unfortunately the already overwhelmed health care system gets to deal with the consequences.


The best solution is to remove the public teet.  If you insist on eating yourself to the point where you need to be weighed on a truck scale, then you should pay for your own health care.  When you have a stroke, you pay for the care.  When you have a heart attack, you pay for the care.  When you suffer from diabetes, you pay for your own care.  When you suffer from kidney failure and need dialysis, you foot the bills, not the city, state and federal government.  And certainly not us, the hard working citizens of New York City!


The bottom line?  Make everyone responsible for their own lives for a change.  Instead of imposing restrictions on everybody, like the teachers used to do back in the day ( when they punished the whole class for something one student did wrong, but wouldn't admit), do like what the mother eagle does.  She spends time flying and soaring in front of her eaglets, showing them how to fly. Then one day, she kicks them all out of the nest.  Now, they either have to fly or die.  


While the mother eagle was taking care of her eaglets, it was their responsibility to watch her and learn how to fly.  If they goofed off and didn't watch, woe be unto them.  


No, New Yorker's don't need Mayor Bloomberg to be our nanny.  All we need to be is RESPONSIBLE for our own lives. Period.  

Coming To Amer . . er . .New York City

Every time I look around "BamBam" (my personal nickname for our current POTUS) is coming to New York City!  It's like that Eddie Murphy movie "Coming To America", only it's not funny.......


Unlike the prince in the movie, "BamBam" is not coming to be a tourist.  He's coming to get money to fill his November 2012 champagne war chest.  With the jobless rate the way it is in New York City (the city of my residence), where does he get money and who gives it to him?  


In a city where the homeless are sleeping in bus shelters, there are always fundraisers in BamBam's honor.  The latest one garnered $4,000.00 a plate!  I personally would like to see what kind of food was on that plate!  For $4,000.00 a plate I'd better get to take home a refrigerator full of food too!  Nu?  Then count me out.


You would not believe the amount of rich LibTards out there who shelled out to pay for a ticket.  I'd say it was a losing proposition, but you can't tell stupid that.......


As for people who hosted Bam Bam, his latest mind numbed lackey was none other than Sara Jessica Parker of "Sex In The City" fame.  


I firmly believe what Conservative Talk Show Host Laura Ingrahm when she says:  "Shut up and sing!"  Meaning, there is an increasing amount of clueless celebarties who have decided to make political stands, usually on the radical left.  Of course their equally stupid, feckless, and brainless fans will follow them into the abyss.   


Note to celebs: if you don't know a tinkers damn about politics, the economy, the government, the constitution, etc, "Sit down and shut up!"  


After BamBam bilked his stooges and cronies of their cash, he want to a Broadway production of "Barack on Broadway".  So, Oprah wasn't enough, eh?  


Why does BamBam keep coming back to New York City?  The theory of the rat and the cheese applies here.  If you keep putting out the cheese, the rat will keep coming back for a free meal.  


New York City residents need to wise up and stop setting out the cheese.....

Gender Selection Abortion.

What in God's name is Gender Selection Abortion?  It is an abortion which is done in favor of a particular sex.  Parents may want a boy and will abort the girl baby(ies) until they get one.  Or the opposite.  Both are abominations in God's sight because all human life has been given by Him, and who are we to "flush away" a baby we don't want?  


The first time I'd heard about Gender Selection or Specific Abortion was from overseas.  China is a nation of billions, and communist, so the government in the effort to combat the burgeoning population instituted the "One Child Law".  Where parents are only allowed to have one child, period.


If by chance a woman is caught having another child, she is arrested and dragged to a clinic where she is "forcefully aborted".  Yes, even if she is 8 months pregnant! 


Many women have died from this procedure, and this is what the Christian Chinese blind activist (Chen Guangcheng)  was opposing.  In fact, he was so effective, the Chinese government had his name on their hit list.  That is why he asked for asylum and escaped China.  Thank God!


Due to ancient Chinese tradition, male children are more valuable than female children.  Why?  The males were the warriors, protectors of the family and the realm, while the females were subservient almost unto slavery (with a few exceptions).  So back in ancient times, girl children were considered just an extra mouth to feed.  So mothers would either abandon, or "dispose" of girls in favor of the boys.  Due to this Godless custom and tradition, the Chinese population is overwhelmingly male, and have no women to marry . . . . . . . 


This dilemma can take several courses, and not all good. I've read stories of the increase of female kidnappings, men reduced to "stealing women" in order to marry up.  Appeals on the internet for American brides to marry has risen. This may also lead to an explosion in the male gay population.  Last but not least in Revelations (The Bible), there is a huge army coming out of The Land Of The Rising Sun (which is China) who will be utilized by the Anti-Christ.  God is setting up His chess pieces to play them out.


As outraged as I was to hear about the barbaric practice of Gender Selection/Specific Abortion in China, I never dreamed it has been practiced right here in the United States.  The reason the practice gets little notice is because the Godless believe they are merely pruning the roses, or removing a pimple.


What of the poor little ones who never had a chance to live?  The ones who had the potential to be a nuclear physicist, the next president, the next MacArthur, another Steve Jobs. . . . . .  They never had the chance to see the light of day.

Priests for Life Supports Ban on Gender-Specific Abortion

On Wednesday, May 23, Gallup released a poll showing that 50% of Americans call themselves "pro-life," compared to 41% who say they are "pro-choice."


The part of the Gallup Poll that matters is the part that shows that only 20% of Americans want to outlaw child killing, down from 22%.

Have we given up the fight after all of these years?  Do the unborn mean so little that it doesn't matter if their lives are callously snuffed out?  Folks, we cannot allow this vile practice to continue, if we call ourselves Followers Of Christ, because His Holy Spirit would not allow it to continue without conviction to come forth.


If you say you are a Christian, yet possess no conviction, you are not. You are just a Wolf in Sheep's Clothing.  


The bible clearly says, If you are not for us, you are against us. 


Conviction will cause you to take a stance against the world/cosmos system, no matter what the cost.  Jesus knew the ultimate cost of our salvation.  Yet he went forth and died on the cross that we might come.  


I pray we likewise lay down our lives that the little ones God has blessed with life, would be able to live.

If man refuses to believe in and worship God, he will believe and worship ANYTHING.  Because God made man to WORSHIP HIM and HIM ONLY.

Yes you read right, The Church of The Flying Spaghetti Monster!  


This is a prime example of how the denial of the One And True Living God can lead you down the blind, and misguided path of destruction.  


In the effort to make yourself look intelligent, you look like a fool.  Is this what you wanted to deny the existence of God for?  To wear a pasta strainer on your head? 


Back in the day when I was a teen/young adult (before I was "saved"), we would get high and wear stupid stuff on our heads.  But never in public!  It was done purely for entertainment and that was that.  Why?  Back then folks would think you were NUTS if you did that in public!  Plus, they had nice rubber rooms for people like that too. . . 


Today this guy not only wears it in public (the way the Jews who wear a yamake) but also wears it on his drivers licence.   I cannot believe the idiot Austrian government caved and allowed it to happen!  


Of course, this opens a portal for other more outlandish things to follow.


I guess atheists don't realize that once you use the word "church" or "worship", though you are not bowing your neck and head to Jehovah God (the Almighty God and Supreme Ruler Of The Universe), you are still recognizing the existence of something higher than yourself.

Where's The Beef . . . er . . . 2 Million?

There once was a bank named Chase.  The full name of said bank is J.P. Morgan/Stanley Chase, which is run by none other than a man named James Dimon who is it's CEO.  


Isn't it funny that last week suddenly the news hit the airwaves that Chase had lost two million dollars last month!  Now two million dollars is not an amount of money to sneeze at, by any stretch of the imagination.  Most of us will never see that amount of money in our lifetimes, especially with this economy!


How did Chase manage to lose two million dollars?  Supposedly, according to the CEO and Grand Poohbah of Chase (James Dimon - who sounds like Elmer Fudd/Harry Reid, bye the way), the money was lost because of bad investments.  That means they took investors and customers money and went gambling on bad stock like they were at the Los Vegas casinos.  Or, spent like drunken sailors. . . . .


We, the unwashed and uninformed public were supposed to be satisfied with that piffle .  . . . . .


However, in a little known news report on Monday 05/14/2012 (which I only heard once - possibly hushed up) some think tank had did a financial survey on the Obama's family finances to see how much The Obama's donated to charity, but they found this bit of interesting information instead.  The Obama's have half of their money invested in mutual funds.  Where is the other half invested?  In none other than J.P. Morgan/Stanley Chase!  


Now, here is a simple arithmetic lesson.  One plus one equals two.  


Remember former New Jersey Governor Corzine?  He started a company named M.F. Global.  Within a year the company went belly up, and three million dollars went missing.  Of course, Corzine who was the CEO of said company (I just can't get over that company name - M.F. Global),  swore he hadn't a clue where the three million went. . . . . .


Later it was found out, and hushed up, that Corzine (a huge Obama flunky) had donated that money to the Obama champagne.   I believe investors are still in court suing for their money back.


In my scathing opinion, the same thing happened with Chase.  I bet if we looked deeper into James Dimon's background, we'll find that he is also an Obama flunky. As a result, with a couple of clicks of a computer mouse, the missing two million wound up in The Obama's account aka Obama's November 2012 Champagne Treasure Chest.  


Sad to say, investors can sue all they want, but they're never going to see a red cent of that money again.  It is gone!

The Divided States Of America

So, our esteemed "Oh Supreme Leader" acknowledged last week Friday, that he is for gay marriage.  This was after he had previously said was not.  


The only reason Obama said this was to boost his political pull.  It's a shame that the LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, BiSexual, Transgender) community does not see that they are merely being used.  Obama plans to chew them up, and spit them out just like he did the rest of his "Divided States of America".


Obama was overwhelmingly elected in 2008 by Black voters. As Rush Limbaugh mentioned on 05/15/2012, this was due to an all "emotional vote".   Admit it, you know how we are.  All you have to do is watch us in some of the  . . . ehem. . . . .  Black Churches.  


Obama simply took advantage of that energy, hyped us up, used us, abused us, then tossed us away like a tissue he blown his nose into.  


He did the same with, Hispanics, illegal immigrants, women, men, prisoners, poor, middle class, rich, unions, private industry, etc.  Now, he's just using the gays.  Anything to get enough support and votes to be re-elected.


"Obama will sell his soul to Satan in order to be re-elected." a friend once told me.  Perhaps he has already done so.  I'm waiting for the assassinations to start. . . . Oh wait a minute, they already have. . . . . .  


The United States is starting to sound more like a "Banana Republic" instead of a Republic which our forefathers intended.  Because of Obama's policies, our country has no become "The DIVIDED States".


Patriots, this is a call to arms to not be distracted by the nonsense and fight to the finish!  Our goal is to do a "Clean Sweep" in November.  Send both the Obamas and the Bidens packing!


Oh, by the way, Isn't Obama Muslim?  His Muslim Brotherhood Peeps can't possibly be happy with his "announcement".  According to the Koran, homosexuality is considered to be an abomination which is punishable by "stoning". . . . . . . .

Who's Playing With Fire?

I read the "Hunger Games" Trilogy last year and reviewed it on a Star Trek site I was a member of then.  I distinctly recall saying two things in my review.  


Number One:  The events of said books were deeply disturbing to me.  So much so that I couldn't sleep for a few nights after.  Mind you I'm a grown woman in my 50's.


Number Two:  The theme of said volumes was MUCH TOO MATURE for young adults!


I could not for the life of me pinpoint why these supposedly Young Adult books were so upsetting.

Yet it's the child of the "unaware" parent who gets into trouble. "In talking to middle school parents, we have heard that most feel overwhelmed by the media onslaught their children experience daily. Parents are often shocked to learn what their kids are consuming," says Kristen Blair. Psychologist Brenda Hunter says, "If 'life imitates art,' we can expect to see an upsurge in violence and carnage among kids as this movie circles the globe. Kids are copycats who lack the cognitive and emotional maturity needed to process the disturbing material in 'The Hunger Games.'"

Brenda Hunter, PhD, is  a psychologist, practicing psychotherapist, and internationally published author who has served on two presidential commissions and written numerous books.

Kristen Blair is an education columnist and writer who has worked on education and family policy issues for the government and think tanks.

We Are All To Blame

Stand With Trayvon's Mother For Justice


I am not here to point fingers at skin color and/or make this a race issue.  Why?  Because I place the blame and responsibility on both parties.  That's right I said both.  


I blame the parents for not teaching their son the proper dress code.  


As a Black woman I know from personal experience that if you live in a crime ridden neighborhood, the police will automatically profile you according to what you wear!  If they see young Black, Hispanic, Puerto Rican male(s) are dressed in baggy, drop trouser jeans, and hoodies (they may be innocent as the pure and driven snow), but that type clothing is a signal to the cops that something may be afoot. 


In other words, you look like you're gonna rob somebody. This is called probabale cause which means if the guy looks shady as if they are up to something, the cops have just cause to stop them.


Here in New York City there is a great controversy over the fact that NYPD does what it calls Stop and Frisk.  To wit, if they see a bunch of young black or hispanic men, dressed as mentioned above, NYPD will, stop them, toss them against a car or a wall and frisk them for drugs, weapons or both.  The Black and Hispanic community and civil rights groups are up in arms because this seemingly happens only to innocent Black and Hispanic young men. Also, that their civil liberties have been violated. 


You wonder why cops only target Black and Hispanic men?  Is it because they are all decked out in "Thug Wear"? Just because their rap artist idols dress like that, they do it too.  Apparently our young people have no clue of the serious ramifications behind dressing like a thug, or donning gang colors just to look cool.  


As parents, we seriously need to teach our sons, that is not the way to dress if you want the police to leave you alone.  We also need to teach our children respect for the authorities.  When the cops tell you to stop, you stop.  When they ask you something, don't give them a bunch of lip, do what they tell you to do.  If you must speak to them, be polite.  Save the curse words for your "homies".   And if possible, get names and badge numbers so you can file an official compliant later.


As for George Zimmerman.  I blame the authorities for not stopping him in his tracks. First of all, according to various news sources, despite the fact that he was good at what he did, Mr. Zimmerman had a history of problems.  The domestic violence issue alone should have gotten him bounced off the neighborhood watch.  They should have also taken away his gun and revoked his firearms license. 


Where was the official oversight?  Just because the Mr. Zimmerman was a volunteer doesn't exclude the fact that he had to answer to someone somewhere.  Especially when you are carrying a loaded firearm. . . . .


It is disturbing to see how issues like this are allowed to spiral out of control until there is a slow motion train crash.  Now all of a sudden folks rush out to help.  Now, when it's too darned late!  Someone's son is dead and another man is going to be tried and convicted of murder.  


This could have all been headed off at the pass, if only people were responsible in both camps. . . . . .


This of course is merely my humble opinion.

Potential Employers Demand FaceBook Log Ins


Two weeks ago I had railed in another blog, about this.  What fresh hell has happened now?  Many work places are making it a standard practice of asking for your FaceBook log in codes during an interview.  


Why would they do this?  Because they want to see what your posting history on FaceBook is like.  In short, if you've posted "crap" in the past, you are not gonna get the job!  So-called potential employers get away with and do this under the guise of "Properly Vetting" applicants before hiring them.  In other words, to employers, this is the free version of "E-Verify".


But, herein lies a serious ethical question. In this economy where jobs are scare and job applicants are plenteous, if  you are in dire need of work, what do you do?  


Will you like Biblical Esau sell your birthright for a bowl of stew?  Know this, if you refuse to give up your codes, you've automatically cast suspicion upon yourself, and lost the job.  


I'll repeat what one of my IT friends has repeatedly told me:  NEVER EVER give out your codes to anyone!  Unless they have a court order, they can forget it!  And, if they do have a court order it is advisable to seek legal counsel first before making any moves.


And again I warn, BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU POST ON FACEBOOK BECAUSE IT WILL BITE YOU IN THE BACKSIDE LATER!

The Catholic Church - Betrayed By OBAMACARE!

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ:

I write to you concerning an alarming and serious matter that negatively impacts the Church in the United States directly, and that strikes at the fundamental right to religious liberty for all citizens of any faith. The federal government, which claims to be “of, by, and for the people,” has just been dealt a heavy blow to almost a quarter of those people — the Catholic population — and to the millions more who are served by the Catholic faithful.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services announced last week that almost all employers, including Catholic employers, will be forced to offer their employees’ health coverage that includes sterilization, abortion-inducing drugs, and contraception. Almost all health insurers will be forced to include those “services” in the health policies they write. And almost all individuals will be forced to buy that coverage as a part of their policies.

In so ruling, the Obama Administration has cast aside the First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States, denying to Catholics our Nation’s first and most fundamental freedom, that of religious liberty. And as a result, unless the rule is overturned, we Catholics will be compelled to either violate our consciences, or to drop health coverage for our employees (and suffer the penalties for doing so). The Obama Administration’s sole concession was to give our institutions one year to comply.

We cannot—we will not—comply with this unjust law. People of faith cannot be made second class citizens. We are already joined by our brothers and sisters of all faiths and many others of good will in this important effort to regain our religious freedom. Our parents and grandparents did not come to these shores to help build America’s cities and towns, its infrastructure and institutions, its enterprise and culture, only to have their posterity stripped of their God given rights. In generations past, the Church has always been able to count on the faithful to stand up and protect her sacred rights and duties. I hope and trust she can count on this generation of Catholics to do the same. Our children and grandchildren deserve nothing less.

And therefore, I would ask of you two things. First, as a community of faith we must commit ourselves to prayer and fasting that wisdom and justice may prevail, and religious liberty may be restored. Without God, we can do nothing; with God, nothing is impossible. Second, I would also recommend visiting www.usccb.org/conscience,to learn more about this severe assault on religious liberty, and how to contact Congress in support of legislation that would reverse the Obama Administration’s decision.

How did the Catholic church get into this "one fine mess"?  Because it saw what it thought was a good deal and signed on.  They thought OBAMACARE was a good deal because they would not have to spend money to pay to insure their lay employees.  What they got in return was hell in a handbasket.  


Sadly, someone did not read the fine print on the contract before they signed on.  Even sadder is the fact that the Obama administration depends upon people and organizations not to read the fine print.  They present a rosy and sunny future, and carefully hide the ugly, seamy and grimy stuff from prying eyes, until it's too late when the trap has been sprung.  


The number one rule today is: If the government is offering it for free, IT IS NOT FREE!


They may say it is "free", but there is some kind of string or condition attached to it which you must adhere to.  True to word, our current and corrupt administration (which cannot be trusted) has cleverly maneuvered The United States Catholic Churches into where they must provide Planned Parenthood services to all of it's lay personnel who are on OBAMACARE!  Regardless of the fact that abortion, contraceptives, etc, are actions which are diametrically opposed to Catholic beliefs!   In one fell swoop, the Obama Administration has effectively destroyed and removed religious freedom for our Catholic Brothers and Sisters.  


An advance warning to our Brothers and Sisters in The Faith and to all Churches.  Before your church signs ANYTHING that has to do with the government (city, state, federal) you MUST lawyer up!  Not a "slip and fall lawyer", but, a constitutional, civil rights, and religious rights specialists.  As the Bible clearly states, "We are dealing Principalities and Powers and Spiritual Wickedness in High Places."
