CRCOA Condemn K of C Inaction on Abortion, Gay Marriage

DENVER, July 29, 2011 /Christian Newswire/ -- Concerned Roman Catholics of America (CRCOA) condemn the Knights of Columbus for their continuing failure to expel pro-abortion and pro-homosexual politicians. In the most recent scandal, two K of C New York State Senators, Joe Addabbo and David Carlucci, cast crucial votes on 24/Jun/11 to pass Gay Marriage in NY (33-29). Had they voted against, there would have been a tie, and NY would still recognize only one man/one woman marriage today.

Perversely, the K of C has welcomed to its ranks a great number of pro-abortion and pro-homosexual politicians in exchange for a charitable tax-free status on its life insurance business. The charitable work is done, and most of the money is raised, by volunteer K of C members at local and state level -- while Supreme Knight Carl Anderson received $1,216,524 in K of C compensation in 2010.

Is Common Sense, Common?

It seems that every year a new type of crime pops up.  Some so new that the criminal justice system has to develop new ways to deal with them.  


At one time in New York City in the 1990's, it was all the rage to buy discount pocketbooks on the street.  So hoards of Nigerian bag hucksters showed up hawking their bags from large cardboard boxes affixed to hand trucks.  Of course they were illegal.  When nabbed by the police they were not only charged for selling merchandise illegally, but trademark infringement because the bags were fake Guccis and Diana Karen, etc.  


When these offenders were arrested, they were taken down to jail and court in groups.  There the courts had to provide court-appointed translators who spoke Wohl, an obscure Nigerian dialect.  Of course all of this was on the tax-payers dime.  


Now the two newest crime waves are as follows:

The cellphone snatch:  The criminal element watches for people who are easy marks or targets.  People who are too busy either texting, or talking on their I-Phone are perfect.  When the perpetrators see that victim is so distracted that they will never know what hit them, BAM!  They run up, shove the person to the ground, grab the cellphone and run! Usually, they go for the most expensive I-Phones.


The question I would ask is, why would you be so occupied with your cellphone while walking in the street?  You are supposed to be watching where you are going.  You are also supposed to be aware of your surroundings, particularly the people around you.  It's common sense.  In this day and age because people are always watching you.  If not a video camera is.  But, for your own safety, save the texting for when you are inside and off the street.


2nd Crime:  


Forcible Touching:  According to New York Penal Law Forcible Touching is a form of sexual abuse.  This law has been on the books and has been used in cases of sexual harassment, but there has been a recent upswing.  Why?  Because women are walking the streets scantily clad.  "Half Neekid" as a friend would often say.


Now, as an American woman you may say, "I have a Constitutional right to wear what I want to wear ( whether my tats hang out, or my butt is uncovered. . . . ) and be left alone."  Yes, you do.  However, in this day and age you as a woman don't know what kind of perverts are out there roaming the streets.

Yes, you can wear that micro mini, but can you handle the consequences if a 6'4'', 250 pound man grabs you in an unmentionable area in public?  Unless you are a female version of Johnny Bravo, Qwi Chung Cain ( Kung Fu ) or Jackie Chan, I think not. . . . .


You can report it to the police, but, a disgusted and overworked detective told a friend of mine, "No offense Miss, but, you need to stop dressing like a whore."  I know, that's a shot between the eyes, but it is very true.  


Like my Mom used to say:  A lady should always dress the part.

It is obvious that both crimes are preventable, with a bit of common sense applied.  But, I guess, "Common sense is not so common."  as Voltaire so aptly said. . . . . . .

Persecution Overseas - House Church

House Church Alliance's No. 2 Sentenced to Labor Camp
SUQIAN CITY, Jiangsu, July 25, 2011 /Christian Newswire/ -- In a further sign of the intensifying crackdown on China's unregistered house churches, the deputy chairman of the Chinese House Church Alliance has been given a two-year labor camp sentence, ChinaAid has learned.
Pastor Shi Enhao (photo) has been sentenced to two years of "re-education through labor," an extra-judicial punishment that is handed out by police and requires no trial or conviction of a crime. It is often used for those who have committed minor criminal offenses or for dissidents and adherents of religious groups, such as house church Christians and Falun Gong practitioners.
The charge on the sentencing papers is "illegal meetings and illegal organizing of venues for religious meetings." This charge stems from the fact that Pastor Shi's large house church of several thousand members meets in various different sites around the city.
The greater significance of Shi's sentencing on this charge has to do with the events surrounding the Shouwang Church in Beijing and its controversial decision in April to meet outdoors after being evicted once again from its leased meeting site. Critics of Shouwang's decision pointed out that when other house churches have grown too large to meet in one place without making local officials nervous, most have avoided clashes with the authorities by breaking into smaller groups meeting in different locations. Pastor Shi's charge and sentence demonstrate that this strategy does not guarantee that the authorities will be appeased.
Pastor Shi's son, Shi Yongyang, has been to the police station and signed the sentencing paperwork under police pressure. However, police refused to give him a copy of the signed documents.
Meanwhile, the police's Domestic Security Protection Department has ordered Pastor Shi's church to stop meeting and confiscated the congregation's car, musical instruments and choir robes, as well as 140,000 yuan ($21,712.50) in donations.
All three of Pastor Shi's daughters and their husbands have all been threatened by the police.
Pastor Shi was detained on May 31 by police in Suqian city, coastal Jiangsu province, and held for 12 days. On June 21, he was criminally detained by the Suqian Public Security Bureau. Criminal detention is the first step in a legal process that almost inevitably leads to a prison sentence.
Pastor Shi and his wife, Zhu Guangyun, are both 55 years old. His 86-year-old mother, Liu Guanglan, requires round-the-clock care, which Pastor Shi's wife provides. Pastor Shi's son, Shi Yongyang, and his wife are both in full-time ministry. Four generations of Shi's family have been serving the church.
ChinaAid founder and president Bob Fu expressed shock at the news and strongly condemned the authorities in Jiangsu's Suqian city for sentencing Pastor Shi. He also called on the church and the international community to express their concern for and come to the aid of Pastor Shi.

God's Property

So, what does "God's Property" mean?


If you are saved, acknowledged that you are a sinner and received Jesus Christ as your Savior, from the second you did that, you are no longer your own.  Why?  because you were bought back with the price of Jesus Christ's precious blood that He shed on the cross!


Jesus purchased you out of the market place of sin by dying on the cross for you ( became a substitute - because the wages of sin is death - he died in your place ).  And since He bought you, you belong to Him!


To use an old and possibly hated parallel, when a slave master buys a slave, he or she has a right to do what they wish with the slave.  After all, they bought the slave!  


Just like you buy a car, you get into it and you expect it to take you where you want to go.  It would really be something if you got into your car expecting to go downtown to do grocery shopping, and your car decided to take a cross-country trip to California or New York City! 


You would be outraged!  After all, you shelled out hard-earned money to buy the car in the first place.  Now, instead of your car doing what you want it to do, the car does what it wants to do!  Hold that thought. . . . .


God expects the same of us.  He made a provision for man to be freed eternally from sin by sending His Son ( Jesus ) to Earth, to go up and eventually die on the cross for the sins of mankind.  Now, if man WANTS to come back to God, he can through accepting what Christ has done for him/her on the cross.  


But, man himself must make that choice, God will NEVER MAKE HIM CHOSE!  God will never violate man's personal sovereignty ( freedom of choice ) even if it results in eternal hell fire ( for the unsaved ) and chastisement ( for the saved )!


Once man makes the choice to accept Christ, the bible says:  "You are no longer your own, you are bought with a price."  What price is that?  The price of Jesus' Precious Blood which was shed on Calvary's Cross!


This means, now YOU BELONG TO GOD and HE IS YOUR MASTER!  Previously SIN was your master and you did it's bidding. You went through great lengths to satisfy it.  Now, that God is your master, you ( who say you are a believer in Christ as your Savior ) do what your Master tells you to do.  Yea, even the things you don't like, or agree with . . . . . . .  Why?  Because your Master, The Most High God of The Universe told you to do it!


Not only are you GOD'S PROPERTY, but everything you own belongs to God! The Bible says: "The cattle on 1000 hills belong to him."  Whatever you own has been LOANED TO YOU FOR A SEASON!  Why?  To glorify God's Kingdom!  


Can you sing?  You now use that beautiful voice to sing to the glory of The Most High!  Can you act?  You now use that talent to bring glory and praise to God's Kingdom!  Do you write?  You use the talent that God has blessed you with in order that Gods Kingdom be magnified!  Do you have a good-paying job?  You realize you are a steward over your finances and devote your money ( tithes and free will offerings ) to the Kingdom so that missionaries can go out, that your local church will have money to pay the electric bill and rent, etc!  Are you creative?  You realize the creativity God blessed you with is to enhance the Kingdom!  Are you good with electronics and computers?  The Kingdom of God needs Christian GEEKS!


Thinking of getting married?  Remember, as a man you are getting married in order to be a manifestation of Christ's relationship with the Church.  He loved her so much that He willingly lay down His life for her. As a woman, you a manifestation of Christ in submission to your husband as Christ was submissive to His Father in Heaven.


In having children, Christians are admonished to raise them "in the nurture and admonition of the Lord".  Why?  Christian parents are responsible before God to lead their children to Christ and the God who allowed them to be born, in the first place!  That's right, they are not YOUR's, they are GOD's!


As my Pastor often says:  "There should not be so many unsaved children in the world."  That's why the bible says:  "To teach them to observe all things . . . . .".


You even realize that even your own body is "A temple of the Lord."  So you can't just toss something down your gullet, just because it tastes good.  If you have high blood pressure, you have no business eating tons of salt. Or a whole cake if you have a problem with "Sugar".   Why?  Because you will be too sick to be of use to the kingdom.  God wants you to be a living testimony, which you cannot be if you are laid up and too sick ( unless it is under "certain circumstances"  -  JOB ).  God's will is that you properly take care of your "vessel" so it will be available for HIM to use at any time.


This also goes for decision making.  You will find out that a lot of things you were involved in while you were "in the world", have no interest whatsoever to you now. Or if they do, you have to make a choice between "that stuff" and God's.  It behooves you to decide for God.  Because if you don't God will bring you through trials and tribulations using that very thing you cling to.  Why?  To bring you to where you will have no choice but to give it up.  


All of a sudden, something you really, really, loved will lose it's "shine", and you privately wonder, "Why am I involved in this? or Why am I doing this?" or "Why did I just order this off the internet?".  What you really mean is: "How is God's Kingdom glorified by me being involved in or doing so-and-so?"  But, unless God, through the Holy Spirit gives you a personal revelation, you won't see that for a few years, or decades, yet. . . . . . . .


Example:  I preciously was a "Bag Maven", meaning I loved shopping for bags/pocketbooks! They were literally not safe from me in the store, and as a result, I have tons of them at home packed up in storage boxes.  Now I look back at the things and wonder "What was on my mind?" and "Why did I waste so much of God's money on these?".  The money I spent could've helped pay airfare for my Pastor and his wife to go Ghana, West Africa to teach the Word of God to our African Brothers and Sisters. . . . . . .


My bag buying/hoarding was a "sublimation" ( a substitute for love and satisfaction ), and until I realized all I needed was in Christ, I was not going to stop the shopping. Now, one of my Sisters and I are thinking of starting an online store to sell off our "sublimations".  Hers was jewelry.   Who know who else in our local church has a "stash".  That money needs to be redeemed ( bought back ) and reinvested in the Kingdom of God!


We are called to be modern day Robin Hoods.  We as Christians PLUNDER from the rich ( the world system ) and give to the poor ( The Kingdom Of Light ), so that it will continue to flourish.  Why? Because people need to hear about the love of God for them and become saved.  Also because the world system will NOT support the Kingdom of God.  Indeed it wants us DEAD!   So God uses US!  Hello?  Who else is He going to use?


Now, instead of feeling like a slave, with a chain or rope around your neck, where you can't do anything or go anywhere.  The fact that you belong to God, and you are His Property is LIBERATING!  You are no longer tied to the world system and it's power, urges, drives, and trends.  You are no longer FORCED to COMPROMISE and FIT IN like a chameleon and if you don't, you are REJECTED and tossed aside!  


You belong to God now, and you don't need to be phony and live a life of pretense!  He knows you and loves you "just the way you are".  If He did not love you, He would not have BOUGHT you!  After living a torturous life of trying to live up satanicly motivated expectations, you can leave all of that behind, and relax now.  Because God ( The Creator Of The Universe ) cares for you.


God's people are simply loved by God.  In turn, they love what God loves and hate what God hates.  Anyone who opposes you opposes GOD!  Because you belong to Him, HE will come to your aid and fight your battles!  You must come to the realization that and get out of His way!


You do that with a heart that remains in fellowship with Your Heavenly Father, repentant, humble, and bowed down before Him.  God will use you, but you must trust, obey, and surrender to Him.  Only then will you truly become God's Property.  Not only in word ( or title ), but in deeds.  So, that others may see your good works and glorify God in Heaven!

To Judge Or Not To Judge

I had a recent heated discussion with a friend ( who I will name "Candy" for the sake of this post ) about judging.  


Candy is "unsaved", and God has "firmly placed" her in my life.  Why? In order to reveal the "peaceable fruit of righteousness" to her.  In other words, be a living testimony of His Kingdom to her, so she will have no excuse when she stands before God and is sentenced to Hell forever.  


We were discussing Casey Anthony and her release today.  Candy said she didn't judge her, and in fact she believed that NO MAN should be allowed to judge.  Only God should judge, that's it.  In essence, so what if Casey Anthony gets off free and clear for the crime of killing her daughter!


My answer?  


If we should not judge, why do we have police, detectives, courts and jails?  The system of jurisprudence was set up by God Himself in the Old Testament!  It started with the Ten Commandments and continues through Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy!  If God had not meant for man to judge, why did he lay down some many laws and establish institutions to carry them out?   


To keep humanity in check!  If man had no laws to keep him/her ( because females are just as wicked a males these days. . . . ) in check, sinful man would simply run wild, turn into savages and barbarians!  They would literally "prey"  on the weaker ones, the way lions prey on the gazelle on the African plains!


How would you like to be "prey" for someone to just pick off?
The justice system and government is even mentioned in the New Testament!  Romans 13:1-5 ( NIV Version ) says:


 ¹ Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.


 ² Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. 


³ For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and you will be commended. 


⁴ For the one in authority is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God’s servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. 


⁵ Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also as a matter of conscience. 


 ". . . .For rulers do not bear the sword in vain ( or for no reason ) . . . . ."  speaks of the police officer who has the authority to carry a gun.  He is not carrying it for show.  He/she was elected by God to use a firearm if necessary to execute justice/judgment against someone who is breaking the law. And yes if necessary, take them down.  


Another reason God gave the laws to The Nation of Israel, because He wanted "His People" to be different then the surrounding nations.  The surrounding nations were hedonistic, worshiped other gods, did whatever they wanted, were brutal, murderers, etc.  Because they did not recognize the Most High God, they were left to their own devises and turned lawless societies where people preyed upon one another.  Sound familiar?  God did NOT want His people behaving and living in such a manner.  


The other more precious reason God gave the law is to show that man, in his frail and weak humanity cannot keep those laws.  From the moment he opens his eyes to the moment he closes his eyes, man sins.  The only way to totally cleanse man from sin is through the Blood Of Jesus Christ and no other.  


God used the law to bring man to the realization that he needs Jesus.  . . . . .


As for the Casey Anthony.  Man was given a chance to judge her and they failed, so now God will take over.  From here on anything can happen. . . . . . .  


The bible says:  "It is a fearful thing to be in the hands of the Lord. . . . ."  Judgment you cannot escape.  

THINK No Evil!

Remember the three Chinese monkeys?  Hear no evil, See no evil, Speak no evil?  I'm going to add two more:  THINK no evil, and DO no evil.  


You'll see where I'm going with this in a minute.  The Bible says in:


Philippians 4:8


"Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report: if there be any virtue and if there be any praise, think on these things."


Why am I saying this?  Because as believers it it IMPERATIVE  for us to "screen out" what be be described as "interference" in our lives.  Where is the interference coming from?  Why, old Split Hoof himself!


As a believer in Christ as your Lord and Savior, you have become an enemy to Satan.  If he could, he would slaughter you on the spot, but, God had given you a Guardian Angel to protect and prevent him from doing just that!  You'll see your Guardian Angel when you go home to Glory, because he has to carry you to heaven.  So, since Satan can't kill you that way, he constantly harasses you, like water dripping on rock!


Satan is not omnipresent like God, so he doesn't know your thoughts.  So, he uses his demons ( which are in rank and file like the military ) to "study" you.  In order to find out your weaknesses,  and take advantage of them with his guerilla warfare tactics.  If this sounds like warfare, yes, it most certainly is!


The most attacked area in Christian Warfare is the mind. The mind is constantly at work, thinking and having conversations within itself. Even when you are asleep the sub-conscience mind is "always" alert and "on patrol".  This is the reason a mother can be dead asleep and hear the cry of her newborn baby and immediately awaken. . . . . . 


This is also the reason why some people have chronic insomnia.  The sub-conscience mind is so worked up, or overwhelmed with thoughts and worries, it will not allow the body to sleep. . . . . . .


99.99% of the time this mental activity is NEGATIVE which is prohibitive to our Christian walk.  We can't trust God if we are headstrong and stubborn.  Neither can we trust God if we are subjective, worried and frightened.  


Of course, when our mind becomes a "cement mixer" like this, it affects our physical health.  We suffer from stress related diseases:  Depression, insomnia, nervous breakdowns, high blood pressure, diabetes, heart attacks, strokes, etc.  


Not only do we suffer physically, but the Kingdom of God suffers too.  Why?  Because you are physically sidelined with illness, therefore your vessel ( your body - which is now the Temple of The Holy Spirit ) cannot be used for the Glory of God!  Of course the Kingdom of Darkness is ecstatic, because that is one less saint on the battlefield!    


I must quote two sayings which apply:


1.  The mind is a terrible thing to waste.
2.  It's all in your mind.


In both cases the answer is yes.  Yes, we waste our own minds by the way we think, and the distorted, un-godly, concepts we CLING to.  Yes, it truly IS all in your mind.  All the undisciplined mind needs is one thought, and it's off on a tangent.


Ex:  As a woman, have you ever been told "Oh my goodness! You've gained weight!"?  If so, haven't you spent the next three days ( or more ) thinking those same words over in your mind?  Trying to figure out where.  Hips, thighs, face?


Now you are looking into diets and thinking about going to the gym more, even though THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH YOU!  Your mind literally took those words and was off the starting blocks like Usaine Bolt ( Olympic Sprinter )!  Now the cement mixer is working overtime!  All from a few words!


I've got an example for you guys, too!  Someone steps to you and tells you that they can see a couple of "grey hair".  Next thing you know, you're at your neighborhood drugstore buying hair dye, or you are seriously contemplating what a lot of my male co-workers have done.  Shave it ALL OFF!  


Have you ever considered that you may look handsome WITH the grey hair?


God does not want His children running from pillar to post like this!  The world does that because they HAVE NO DIRECTION for their lives.  But WE HAVE THE WORD OF GOD AS OUR DIRECTION  FOR EVERY AREA OF OUR LIFE!  YES, EVERY AREA!  


That's why He admonishes us to "Forsake not to assemble yourselves . . ."  In other words:  Attend church regularly, for worship services, bible classes, raps, and fellowship with the saints of God.  It is especially important to hear the word of God taught and preached.  


Why?  Because like a baby needs to learn how to stand and walk, then run, you MUST be taught a NEW frame of reference to think in.  Why?  Because the old one ( which is from the Satanically motivated world system ) is killing you!  


God wants you fit and ready to represent Him in the Highways and Byways.  Whether it is in your neighborhood, Nebraska, Maine, California, Belize, or in Ghana West Africa God wants you prepared to serve. Not flat on your back, in an intensive care ward, or in a mental institution, or zoned out on prescription drugs.


I'm not saying God will not put you in a Job-like situation in order to manifest His Kingdom, even with cancer, etc.  God wants His children to be as healthy as possible in order that He may use us.  The first step to personal health is right thinking.  


Right Thinking comes from screening out not only what you think, but what you receive.  Often, what you think is closely related to what you hear or see.  The mind automatically takes what it receives through the Eye Gate and Ear Gate and mulls it over.  Hence, the cement mixer.  


You can't have fellowship with God and His saints if your mind is receiving and clinging to wicked reports.  Believers have no business GOSSIPING!  That is no longer a part of our lifestyle!  We were bought out of the Slave Market of Sin by Christ's Precious Blood, to bring others into the Kingdom,  not yakk around the water cooler (  figuratively speaking of course ). We ( who are a Chosen Generation ) now love what God loves ( fellowship, prayer, hearing the word of God, worship ) and hate what God hates ( sin - which is separation from God ). 


If someone comes you with an evil report, SHUT THEM DOWN, because you are responsible for what you receive.  Take in the wrong thing and you have POISONED THE WATER of your fellowship with GOD!  Lose anything else in life, but don't lose your fellowship with God!  Why?  Then you are left out in the world all alone with no one to protect you.  Fellowship with God is your COVERING!  So you must be proactive in protecting and CLINGING to it!  PASSIVITY IS NOT AN OPTION!


When someone does come to you with an evil report/gossip remember these three things:


1.     As my pastor says often "When a person gossips to you, they are VOMITING on you!"   And no one in their right mind wants to be puked upon!


2.     Immediately, go into prayer and ask God what to say or do with the person, as they are speaking.  God may lead you to be silent and just walk away.  He may also use you to give the person a sharp rebuke, in love.  In either case you are letting the person know that they can no longer use you as a toilet to barf into.


3.    This goes for on your secular job as well as within the Body Of Christ.  Always remember there are Christians of all stages of growth within Christ's body.  Some may be immature and don't know.  Others may be mature and hard hearted.  Either way, they must be treated with extra care and love.  Allow God to use your vessel to deal with them if they come to you.  Use the encounter as a burden of prayer for the person after.


As for yourself.  When negative thoughts pop into your mind, DO NOT entertain them.  Immediately say, "This is not my thought(s), I send them back from where they came."  This is just a basic formula, but in your personal relationship and walk with Christ, you will soon develop your own.   But, it takes practice of being still and bowed down before Him.  This is essential as the air we breathe!


"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but principalities and powers, rulers of darkness, spritual wickedness in high places.. . . . . ."  

Your Job Is Your Ministry!

Your Job is Your Ministry?  I bet you've never thought of that concept before.  Remember EVERYTHING is different in the Kingdom of Light than in the Kingdom of Darkness. The standards we used to apply to the world system, DO NOT apply in God's Kingdom.

That especially applies to one's SECULAR JOB. First of all, GOD gave you that job! No matter how you got it. Filled out an application, took and passed a test, walked in off the street, someone hooked you up, worked as an intern, moved up in rank, etc. God used one of these various means to bless you with it. He also blessed you with the skills necessary to function proficiently on it.

God did not place you on the job for you to become famous, make a name for yourself, to make a lot of money, or get rich. If you do make a high salary, it's not for you to copy the world and spend wildly and heap things upon yourself. Even if you earn a moderate or low income, we are still not supposed to do that.


We all know, the poorest people in the neighborhood all have big screen TVs.  Nope!  God didn't call you for that either. . . . . . . .

So why am I there? Because God's Kingdom needs to be supported! That is why God instituted tithes and offerings, so that His ministry can be kept afloat, so sinners may have a refuge to run to!   We as believers must not try to get the world to support Gods Kingdom, because THEY WILL NOT! If anything, they want the church to go away and DIE! 

So, God uses us to do it! He uses us like Robin Hood to steal from the rich ( the world system ) and give to the poor ( God's Kingdom ).  He  blesses us with the health and strength to go on our various jobs and earn a salary. And like the IRS automatically gets their share, a portion belongs to God for His use!  "Render unto Cesar what is of Cesar and render unto God what is of God."

Why?

So your presiding pastor will have clothes to wear, food to eat, and a place for him and his family to live.

"Muzzle not the ox that treads out the corn. . . . . .” refers the Pastor who has turned his life over to the study of Gods Word and ministering to God's people full-time. He's trusting God to care for him and his family. God uses and holds the pastor's flock responsible to take care of their pastor!  Plain and simple.

How about this?

Your local church's electric is about to be cut off, but you just gotta have a $50.00 manicure!  Now, would you rather worship in the dark and have nice nails ( that no one can see ), or go to the dollar store, buy some polish, do your own nails and put the $48.00 towards the light bill?  God would be more pleased and the Kingdom will be glorified if you made the sacrifice.

What happens if you refuse to give tithes and offerings?

This means that you are resisting God's Authority in your life and thus you will be chastised. As my Pastor says:  "God will put holes in your pockets!"  You think you may be saving money, or keeping money for a rainy day, and all of a sudden financial disaster strikes.

Out of the blue a collection agency will call and tell you that you owe them $500.00! Worse yet, the IRS will send you a letter telling you that as of such and such a date, their going to garnishing HALF of your paycheck. So, where you once had a least a little pocket money to get by, now you are not only flat-broke but OWE money to boot!

Now, who do you think did that? Satan? Nope! Don't blame everything on Satan. There are times God raises His hand against His own. 


“He chastises and scourges every son . . . .”   Hey, didn't you say you are A Child Of God?  So Your Daddy ( God ) has the right to spank you, right?  And with the very thing you like too. . .   Ouch!

God does that because He loves you and wants you to come back to Him, and get right. Realize that you are no longer your own, that you were bought with the Precious Blood of Jesus Christ on the Cross of Calvary, and not my will but thy will O Lord!

I keep saying: Your Job is a MINISTRY!

Now, for the second half of your ministry. When you work on a secular job, you are NOT to have the same working standards as the world. Today, the world system is all about giving “eye and lip service” or as they say in the HOOD “getting over”. Doing just enough work to get by without getting fired for “malingering”.  God did not bless you, as a Christian, with that job for you "cut up" like that.

The Bible admonishes us to: “Do everything as unto the Lord. . . . . .”  Yes, even our work.

I'm reminded of that old “Hebrew National Franks” commercial where the announcer would say: “We could put this filler in our hot dogs, and that filler in our hot dogs, but we can't. Because we have to answer to an even Higher Authority.”  That Higher Authority to The Hebrew National Company, ( run by Orthodox Jews ), is none other than The God of Abraham, Jacob and Issac!  Our GOD!


You know what?  The same holds true for us as believers on our jobs.  We WILL answer to God one day for how we performed, because God sees and records ALL!

So even though our supervisor(s) turns their back, we continue to work. If the supervisor leaves the site, we continue to do and finish our work. While our co-workers goof off, gossip and backbite around us, sleep, or disapear, we mind our business and stay on post.

Though co-workers and /or supervisors abuse or take advantage of us ( because they notice we are hard workers and dump everything on us ). We don't complain or retaliate ( remember: “Vengeance is mine sayeth the Lord.” and “No weapon formed against me shall prosper.” ) and pray for them. Why? Because the Bible tells us to: “Pray for those who despitefully use you. . . .” 


Last but not least, the Bible says: “We battle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers, rulers of darkness, and spiritual wickedness in high places.” Remember it is Not PEOPLE doing this, but Satan USING PEOPLE. . . . .

Therefore, we MUST be confessed and prayed up to date before entering our workplace!  Why?  Because it is a spiritual battle field!  Why?  Because we are on Satan's territory and doesn't want us there! Despite that fact, God has us there, up in Satan's face!

So, while we work, we MUST become a LIVING EPISLE to those who don't know Christ! Even though you as a believer might be forbidden by law to witness ( share your faith ) in the workplace, God has you there as a LIGHT in a DARK PLACE! To draw people to His Kingdom by your “conversation”, which means, “your behavior.”!  Someone will notice you are different and ask you why.  That will be the opening for you to tell them about Jesus.  

No doubt you may think that you have the worse job in the universe.  Like me, may have tried desperately to find another job. But, God through situations and circumstances allowed plans and things to fall through or NEVER MATIRIALZE! Why? Because He wants you THERE!

It's like that old Army poster that used to say: “Uncle Sam Wants You!” God wants You!   There!

Yep, right there where you can't stand it! Why? Because someone(s) needs to see JESUS! So that they will have NO EXCUSE if they reject the plan of salvation. Why? Because He used you, one of His vessels, to be a LIVING TESTIMONY before them! Romans 1:20

Are you a “Living Testimony”, or an “Ambassador Of The Faith” before your unsaved co-workers?

The last but no means the least reason Your Job is a Ministry?  It's a place of “REFINEMENT” for you!  For, what good is faith if it is not tried in the fire. . . . . .?

Yes, this calls for much bowing down before your Heavenly Father, because mere Human Flesh cannot and will not fight or stand in this supernatural battle!  I write this post as one who has been, is still in the battle, and has suffered many wounds and scars.   I remain ONLY because of Christ Jesus!
