Buying Back The Time

The Bible says: “Tomorrow is not promised to you.”

So, what does that mean?

It means that time is very valuable. Why? Because we may never see tomorrow. That also means as believers we have no time to waste. Because we know not when the bridegroom ( Jesus Christ ) returneth. . . . . .

The bible also teaches in the Parable of the Ten Virgins that believers ( like the Wise Wives ) should buy oil, which means that we should buy back all of the time we wasted in the world system on worldly pursuits. By filling our “vessels” with The Word Of God ( oil ).

That means attending church regularly for classes, worship service, fellowship, prayer, personal study time and prayer/fellowship with God.

Now, that we know Christ as Our Personal Savior, we should have a totally new outlook on life. Our value system should be the same as God's. What God likes we like, what God hates, we hate.

When we were out in the world, we went all out by, running around and chasing after one rainbow and pot of gold, to another, fantasy, and imaginary Shankara-la to another. Now that we have come to Christ. He fulfills all of those inordinate longings and we cease our running. We have found where we belong.

We may have stopped running outside, but what about inside? This is where we have to make personal adjustments and sacrifices. Instead of hanging out with friends, in the internet, watching TV, on the phone, etc. we are at bible classes, worship or raps. Why? Because the Word of God admonishes us to forsake not to assemble ourselves. Why? Because we need ammunition ( The Word Of God ) for the warfare that rages around us.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers, against spiritual wickedness in high places . . . . . . Not people, SATAN USING PEOPLE!

Christ has already won the victory, past, present and future! But we are creatures of time, and have to yet live in the victory with Him! Meanwhile, Satan the master strategist of guerrilla warfare, continues to “harass” and wound us.

How are we to know these things unless we gather together with fellow saints and LEARN? This becomes our necessary food! We can't do without our marching orders. Without them, it is like walking through a mine field. . . . . .

In other areas of our lives we must make decisions to “thin the herd”. Things which courted great favor and formally took up time in our life, are jettisoned once we hear instructions from on high.

Why?
You are no longer your own. You are bought with a price. Way back when, when a Master bought or captured a slave, the slave did whatever the master told him to do. Since Jesus is your Lord and Master now, and brought you with the precious blood which He shed upon the cross at Calvary, He OWNS you now and you are no longer free to do whatsoever you please.

Well, I'm GROWN, and I can do what I want, when I please!” you say.

Oh yes, you are free whatever, but what are the consequences? Can you handle them without the assistance of God? No, you can't.

Please remember these questions before you make up your mind to do something.

Which Kingdom will it glorify? The Kingdom of God or the Kingdom of Satan?
Answer: You are supposed to be representative of Christ so what are you doing representing SATAN? Who's side are you on, anyway?

Did God tell you to do that?
Answer: Just like God did with Noah and Moses and Abraham, God STILL speaks to and instructs man. And like the Bible, God spoke, and man wrote.
The same goes for Christianity today. We must learn to pray and fellowship with God constantly and to be still, rest and let Him speak to and act through you. You may NOT like the answer He gives you.
WARNING: If it is a “yes” or “no” question, most of the time it will be a “NO”. After all He is your Heavenly Father and you claim to be His child. . . . . . .

Abba Father is not about giving His children what they want unless it is truly bring glory to Him.

This is where people begin to notice: “I don't know what it is, but, boy have you changed!” and that's your opening to tell people about salvation. . .

That I may decrease, that Christ may increase. . . . Paul.
