An Important Note To Baby Christians

A baby Christian is just like any other baby.  A baby needs the proper elements in which to grow.  If it doesn't have these things, it will grow up sadly lacking, and will never be able to enjoy the fullness of their relationship with their Saviour.  



First and foremost, you must realize that when you came to Christ, you changed Teams.  You are no longer on Team Satan, you are on Team Christ now.  What does that mean?  You now have a supernatural enemy that HATES you ( because you now belong to Christ ) and would sooner see you dead!  That's why G-d has given you a Guardian Angel because if it were at all possible, Satan would strike you down dead the moment you accepted Christ!  But he can't.  

Secondly, you are no longer your own, you don't do your "own thing" for your own self anymore.  You were bought with the price of Christ's precious blood!  That means you belong to Him!  You are now a ambassador/representative of The Kingdom of Heaven. You are IN the world but not OF the world.  You do what your Team Leader Jesus tells you to do now.     

The first thing you need is a church home.  A solid bible teaching and preaching church with an anointed Pastor in charge.  Once you have found that you  need to STAY there and go often.  The Bible says to "Forsake not to assemble yourselves, as you see the evil day approach."  Why?  Because the Church is where the body of Christ gathers ( all of the believers ) and it is a "covering" G-d has blessed you with for your protection.

Another covering is your Pastor.  A man of G-d who has called of G-d and dedicated his life to the study and preaching of G-d's word and cares for the flock.  

Another covering is the fellowship of the saints of G-d.  When you go to church you meet your Brothers and Sisters in the faith.  Some are older, some younger, some black, white, hispanic, asian, East Indian, American Indian.  Who ever and what ever they are, God took of one blood and covered them all.  You go to church regularly to meet, hear the word taught, or preached, fellowship with each other, have raps around the word of G-d.  

Why do you need this?  Because you've been in the world all day/night,  and you were wrung dry, and need a cool drink of water to revive you.  That's what The Body Of Christ is all about. To revive, encourage and strengthen you or you will perish from the onslaught!

That's why the Bible admonishes believers of ALL levels to "Forsake not to assemble yourselves  . . . ."  That means, show up for those praise services, bible classes, raps, etc.  Make it a regular part of your schedule!  

Read the bible, regularly.  If you don't have one, when have time either go online and look through their Bible selections or go to your regular book store.  If you can't read/understand the Thees and Thous of the King James Version of the Bible, try the New International Version, The New King James Version, The New Living Bible.  Which ever version it read it, read it, read it,  The Bible is G-d's love letter to you!  Don't you want to know what He's got to say?  Wellllll. . . .?

Oh, by the way, once you find a Bible you like, if you can afford, I suggest you buy several of them. . . . . . 

Pray regularly.  The Bible admonishes believers to "pray without ceasing. . . . ."  For good reason, we are always under attack from the wicked one.  "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood but  principalities and powers, rulers of darkness, spiritual wickedness in high places. . . ."  

Before I go on, prayer is talking to G-d.  There is only one model for prayer which Jesus himself gave in Luke 11:2-4. Which is:

The Lord's Prayer. 

Our Father
Who art in Heaven
Hallowed be thy name
Thy Kingdom come
Thy will be done
As on Earth as it is
In Heaven
Give us this day our
Daily bread
And forgive us as we
Forgive our debtors
For lead us not into 
temptation, but 
deliver us from evil
For Thine is the Kingdom
the power and the Glory
Forever
Amen




In learning to pray, you will develop your own personal relationship with G-d.  Not only can you talk to Him, He will in turn speak to you.  You will learn to recognize and hear only His voice and not the voice of others ( who seek to entice you ).  As the Bible says: " My sheep hear my voice, from another they will flee. . . . "

Last but not least . . . . .

The reason you were saved was not just to escape hell fire!  You were saved to benefit The Kingdom.  Way back before you were even a gleam in your mother's eye, G-d knew you had a certain potential.  He waited until you were born and the years in between until you came to Him, however, just like He waited 400 years for Moses. . . . . .

Now, you are saved, no just thing of all the people around you. On your job, at your school, in your classes, on your sports team, wherever.  90% of them DON'T KNOW CHRIST!  How are they going to find out about Him?  Well, don't look around!  G-d is gonna use you!  He's gonna use you to speak to them, or to treat them with kindness, love them up, invite them to church, feed them tiny crumbs of the Gospel like a mother bird feeds her chicks.  Even if you can't  openly witness to people on your job ( like mine ) you can BE A TESTIMONY by having G-dly grace, honor, integrity but standing firmly on the Word of G-d!  It's funny, you may not say a word, but people WILL know that you are different.  

What's so different?  You changed sides and you're on the  Team Victorious now!
